Retour à la Source is situated in the department Lot, in the Bouriane region, that is known for its gently rolling, hilly landscape with forests, meadows and brooks that is excellent for hiking and cycling tours through nature. In Cazals (3 km), you can find a supermarket, a bakery, restaurants, a doctor and a pharmacy. You can also swim and fish over there.
The domain itself lies beside a small path in a rural area, 800 meters away from Marminiac, a small village with merely 300 residents.
‘Retour à la Source’ consists of a house rebuilt from a stable, a small 17th century house and a few other buildings. There is over 4 ha of land around the house divided by a forest with footpaths, a large meadow and a modest vegetable and herb garden in the making.
The alternative route GR 652, one of the walking paths to Santiago de Compostella is near 'Retour à la Source'. One of the old houses in Marminiac is provided with the route stone of the pilgrim path.
